Default My Blackberry Crashed. I have no data at all on the phone. HELP!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

It's a 7100T.

Basically, I was connecting to the Desktop Manager, and it told me to type in my password. I bought the phone off of Ebay, and when they sent it, they didn't give me the password.

I thought that by intentionally mistyping the password the allowed 10 number of times, it would reset everything, and I would be able to start over with a clean slate. Well, what happened is that EVERYTHING on the BB was completely cleared. There is no OS or anything at all.

When I connect to the Desktop Manager and run the App Loader, it basically says that there's nothing on my BB. And I can't find a way to install the firmware, or whatever I need to start copying programs back over.

Please help me!

Jesse

Do a search for Javaloader. I think this will be your only hope.

Buying Blackberry's and Treo's on eBay are a nightmare. So many of those sellers neglect to inform the buyer of important information. Why? Because they aren't BB users, and just like Customer Service at Cingular, Sprint, etc. they have no idea what they are talking about.

I agree with gregebhart, Javaloader is your only option, other than finding a store that will load the stuff on there for you.

since you have a 7100t, download the handheld software from tmobile.com/bbupgrade or if you dont have a tmobile account use this software.se.t-mobile.com. once you have this installed on your pc, you should be able to run the application loader to reload the OS on your BB.

side note: when you enter the password incorrectly 10 times while the BB is CONNECTED, it WILL erase everything, data and OS.

Hmm, OK, well I'll try using Javaloader, but I don't know if I'll be able to upload the OS again, because I can't find an actual file to act as the OS on the handheld. I don't think I have the file to upload...

Go to rim.com and download the last handheld service pack. Another address to find it is www.cingular.com/bbdownloads

OK, when I'm trying to do a USB wipe (after installing JavaLoader 4.0), I open CMD Prompt and type "javaloader -usb wipe" just like it says, but CMD says that that isn't a valid command... any ideas?

ok, i got the javaloader -usb wipe to work. i had to copy the javaloader program to the folder that cmd prompt was using. then it worked fine.

now im trying to upload the software. i've downloaded the latest handheld software many times, but i cannot find a way to upload it to the handheld. it doesnt just appear when i open the app loader in desktop manager. so i dont know what installing that is really supposed to do...

any ideas here?

Thanks so much for all your help!
