Default How do u invite attendees in Calendar on 8700

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I have 8700 and cant seem to find a way to invite attendees for meeting in Calendar.
When I set an appointment there is no option for Attendees or to Invite.

Is there something Im missing or is that option not available on BIS version?

Can't do it on a BB via BIS. Not sure about BES. You can do that via Outlook however.

I can do it on my BB 8700 with a BES.

Once in the Appointment Edit Screen, I click the trackwheel, and there it is.

Invite Attendee

So does it mean that Invite Attendees option is not available for BIS subscribers? I looked at two other BB phones with BIS and they also didnt have this option.

Strange.....

That's correct. It is part of Wireless Calendar Sync which is only available for BES 3.6 and above.

Default Similar problem with Pearl 8100. Invite attendees funtionality has disappeared

I'm leaving my firm and I have disabled Wireless Sync on the caledar so I can synch with my home computer running Outlook. But now the calendar won't allow me to invite attendees or to accept or reject invites on calendar requests on my POP email account. What can I do to resolve this.

The latest Version of the BES allows iCal invites from Berry to Berry, but I don't think its compatable with most of the email clients out there. You would need to do a hosted bes solution for your home pop account if you want to do invites.

You can do it on bis but I think you can only do it on the newer bb's. I have an 8830 on bis and am able to invite attendees.

I was doing this on my BlackBerry 8700g with only BIS on T-Mobile. I did have handheld OS v4.2.1.96 installed, and it only took effect after the T-Mobile BIS 2.3 upgrade.
