Default PDFs redirected through BES have black background

I set up fax to email so that I can get pdfs of my faxes showing up on my blackberry. The pdfs look fine on my laptop, but the same pdfs showing up on my blackberry have a black background and the letters are white like everything is in reverse. Email with the problem attachments are coming through the company BES.

I checked again today and same thing. A pdf attached to an email on my work computer looks fine (white background and image is in color), but on my blackberry, the same attachment has a black background and I can't make out the image as if its in reverse. Is this a setting on the BES attachment service that needs to be changed?

I did some testing of the same thing foe some of our users. From what I could tell it's how the PDF is created. If the source was text and the PDF created through a "pdf printer" then e-mailed to the Blackberry you could open and read the attachmet just fine. But when you would take the same word document and send it via fax (we use RightFax) and have THAT pdf mailed to you via your fax server it would be unreadable. The fax server doing the translation would treat the page as one giant image and for some reason the RIM PDF renderer does not like it.

I just tried it with my 8703 and am still getting the same response. Looks like it's still not fixed. Does your fax server offer a output to jpg?
