Question No Network

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7100 from T-Mobile and I cant not recieve network. I called RIM and we re formated the phone but still no luck .Has anyone had tis promblem and what is the fix?

Have you checked the Network Settings (In Settings / Options / Network) to make sure that it is set to "Automatic"?

yes I even used manual and scan for network.The thing that is most confusing is I just put in my sim card from my new 8700 and it works for 5 mins then cant find network again

I bought it new last year.Had to replace it then it just stopped recieving newtwork.I bought the new 8700 but I want to fix the 7100. I just tried it again this morning and it worked for 5 min then lost connection.

I think its is a setting problem with TMobile but they just say buy a new one. I had RIM help me reformat it and it still didnt help

Bad BlackBerry... I don't think it is a settings problem. I think the radio is shot.

It's faulty hardware. It's dying. Replace the 7100...

I did with the 8700 which I like alot better but when you pay so much for a phone it should last more than 6 months I bought it from TMobile last year or so then it had to be replaced and the one they replaced it with didnt last 6 months

Although not a common failure, the 7100 did have more than average radio failures. 7105t was supposed to correct this.

You're correct, it should. However, you asked what the issue was, and NJ gave you the answer...sorry if that's not the answer you want to hear, but at this point, any complaints about how long the unit lasted should be directed at the carrier. Sorry.
