My company gave me Nextel Blackberry 7520.

I was playing with this phone and somehow, I think I turned on Location-Based Service icon below the reception bar. Also, my TeleNav GPS Navigation Icon is changed.

I don't think I was able to see this little Location-Based Service icon on my phone. How can I turn it off? or this icon should be on all the time as a default setting for all nextel blackberry 7520? Well, when I have this phone, I don't think I have this little Icon.

I'm afraid that Nextel may charge for using this Location-based service.

Please, help me out.

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean by your telenav icon has changed. I do know this though, Nextel is pushing out this "service book" icon to each and every 7520 phone that we have. This has caused a lot of concern with our user community and has everyone thinking that we're trying to track them now. In reality we have never asked for this icon to appear or for GPS service. When working with Nextel I was able to learn how to remove the telenav icon. However, it doesn't do you any good to remove the icon because as soon as you take out your battery and put it back into the phone, Nextel will push the telenav service book back to your phone. This causes the icon to reappear. Thus we have told our user community to hide the telenav icon. This can be done by highlighting the icon then hold down the key and click in on the track wheel. Select hide icon and you're all set.
