Default Device Password Query

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
our enterprise uses BES 4.1 and when browsing to external web sites (internet) via the BB browser, users are prompted for their (LAN - MS Active D) authentication credentials by our proxy servers. Thus each time a new session is established the credentials must be re-entered.

My question: is it possible to pass through the Blackberry device password to the proxy server or is this simply the device password? i.e can the device password be synched with AD credentials?

Regards,
David

I don't believe there is any way to sync the BB password with the AD credentials.

I hope you are able to find an answer to this issue. Maybe you need to determine the user account running the BES services on your BES server? I'm just guessing that it has something to due with the account credentials of the BES services to your proxie server VS the actual user credentials in AD for the end user using the phone. Maybe I am wrong, but this is my best guess. Maybe have your users use the Browser app instead of the Blackberry Browser until you determine the fix?
