When I send an email from my Gmail account on my Blackberry it shows up in the inbox as "Delivered: *********". I set up the filter so I don't get the message on my blackberry, but I also do not want this "Delivered:" email to show up in my inbox. I disabled all email on my Blackberry until I figure this out. Its driving me crazy...lol.

Go to Messages>Menu>Options>Email Settings
There you will see options for delivery confirmations, read confirmations, and send read receipts. You have to manually set them for each email account on your BB.

DISREGARD - I didn't realize notice the difference between Create Account and Create New Email Account - Duh - All Fixed - I'm a happy guy.
* * * *
Okay gang - I'm just not getting it - I'm a new (11/2007) Verizon Wireless Pearl user with a gmail account that sends me my sent messages. Everyone says to log into the Verizon BIS server - I can only do that via the BB, and when I do I don't have any sort of "filter" option. Under "Email Accounts" I can choose my Gmail account and "Edit" but I see no way to enter a filter.
Please Help! Sent Messages are drIvinG mE nUtz.
Thanks

Hello guys, same here. I'm a brand new Pearl user and fell in love with it. I'm with verizon and I can't access BIS thru HTML I have to use BB. I have gmail and I get every single e-mail I write on my inbox as new e-mail.
The fix here doesn't work since I verizon won't let me sign to BIS account with a computer, any ideas? I don't want to create a yahoo e-mail or other e-mail and change it just because of the issue.
sorry my 1st post was a complaint, thanxs for the help

Yeah Verizon isn't good about communicating this information to its subscribers.
The link you are looking for using your computer is:
BlackBerry Internet Service
This will allow you to alter your BIS account settings.

Thank you for the link, but I have used that link, I found it in the FAQ. The problem I'm having is that it won't let me log in. I get a message saying I can only access my BIS by the BB device, and when I do that I only get options to edit or delete e-mail accounts. When I choose edit, there is no section for filters.

How to change the login mode for a BlackBerry Internet Service 2.4 account
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doc ID : KB14378
Last Modified : 2007-12-04
Document Type : How To
Print this page
Environment
BlackBerry® Internet Service 2.4
Note: To determine which version of the BlackBerry Internet Service you are using, see KB04989.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Procedure
BlackBerry Internet Service 2.4 provides new BlackBerry Internet Service users with an Automatic Login feature that does not require a user name or password to be entered when accessing the account directly from the BlackBerry smartphone.
Some integration types, such as IBM® Lotus® Domino®, Microsoft® Outlook or BlackBerry® Mail Connector, require an Internet browser for configuration. Additionally, some features of a BlackBerry Internet Service email integration, including signature and filters, can only be modified from a computer browser interface. In these cases the BlackBerry Internet Service user must change from Automatic Login mode to one requiring a user name and password.
To change from Automatic Login mode to requiring a user name and password and be able to access the BlackBerry Internet Service using a computer browser, complete the follow steps:
Click Setup Wizard or E-mail Settings icon.
Note: Icons may be different depending on the BlackBerry smartphone service provider or theme.
Click Services and Settings.
Click Create User Name.
The BlackBerry Internet Service user will be prompted with a screen stating that this is a permanent change. This change will allow access using a computer browser as well as the BlackBerry smartphone. Enter a valid username and password.
The BlackBerry Internet Service user may then login using their service provider specific web site using the user name and password to access the BlackBerry Internet Service account from a computer browser. Navigate to your service provider web site or go the Email Setup page. In the Get started from your computer section, select a Region and then click your service provider.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Additional Info
For more information on BlackBerry Internet Service 2.4 and Automatic Login, see KB13955.
For more information about BlackBerry Internet Service account creation troubleshooting, see KB11465.

Ok, so before I pet anyone here, heres the thing: I did the whole filter thing, it did work, but not in ways I hoped. It stop sending me the sent items, but it also stopped me from emailing myself. Say for example, if my email is ![[email address]](http://www.blackberryforums.com/?emailimage=6892f0e29a1eb0d5ec971fb91751715b) , and there are times when I wanna send myself an attachment to my gmail, but view it on my BB, so I would log on to my gmail account by Desktop, go on my BB8320, gmail account, type in my email of ![[email address]](http://www.blackberryforums.com/?emailimage=6892f0e29a1eb0d5ec971fb91751715b) (basically its to:BB8320 from: BB8320), it'll show up on my gmail on the comp that its been sent, but on my BB, nothing comes in, cause I filtered myself out. So is there anyway to work around this? I know it sounds crazy, but thats what I want, and I'm sure there are others out there that might want the same..

I see this thread is a year or so old... Well, I'd like to fix the problem too. I can log into the T-mobile BIS, but I'm not allowed to access email functions. I get,
"We apologize, you do not have access to the My E-mail service.
Please use the e-mail solution provided with your wireless handheld."
I understand the advantages and disadvantages of forwarding to my BB account. I'm wondering if there's yet another workaround.

I don't think you want the "my email" service. I think that's different. There should be a link that says "setup internet email" there.

There is, but if I click it I get the same message:
"We apologize, you do not have access to the My E-mail service.

It could be related to this. TMobile's BIS site is slightly different to access than everyone else's but this may still apply. Give this a try:

Thanks for trying, but step 3, "Create User Name," doesn't work, because no such link appears in my "Services and Settings" screen on the device. It looks like T-mobile doesn't want us to access this stuff on the web.
edit: I got it done. The BIS site hadn't registered the BB yet.

Ok so I have read the entire thread and notice allot of this topic is geared towards t-mobile,at&t, etc.. I don't see much info for Alltel. I have no idea how to log into my BB account. I followed the link found on BB's site to the carriers sign up page but it said I could not access it from web browser.

Are you guys trying to send through gmail's server so to have a copy at gmail sent folder?
Because I just use blackberry server to send with "reply-to" as my gmail address. I never had problem of getting duplicate.
You asking me how do I get a copy of my sent email? Well, in BIS there is option "bcc a copy of your outgoing email to xxxx email address" so I just bcc a copy to a secondary address. But I never actually ever open them.

I got that same message last week from Verizon's BIS log on site. Then later the same url allowed me to log on. Got it again last night when I wanted to clean up the Dupes I was getting on Gmail which I had just added.
I use Firefox. I went and deleted the cookies associated with the Verizon bis site and then it worked. Maybe that's your issue, too.
