Default Help! Stop receiving emails

Please Login to Remove!

i have tried doing several searches and was unsuccessful to find anything on this. hopefully somebody can help me out.

is there a way to prevent emails (enterprise server) from going to my BB when i'm synched with my computer? it is just really annoying that i get a copy of an email on my computer and then the same one goes to my bb and i have to waste time deleting that. is there a profile of some sort that i can just put it on so that my emailing is disabled but my phone works?

Using desktop manager go into Redirector Settings, then click the box next to "Disable message redirection while your device is connected"

Whether or not you turn email sync off via the Redirector settings, is there a way to stop emails from being sent to your BB when you are not connected to your PC? There are many times where I do not connect my BB to my PC, but I still don't want my emails to be sent to my BB.

You can turn off wireless. You could write a filter that stops emails from forwarding to the BB - this is easy to do and can be stopped and started from the BB.

I still want to get phone calls, so I don't want to turn off wireless. I tried the filter, but then I found that I could not get to my filters from my BB. So, if I wanted to turn the filter off so I could start receiving emails again, I couldn't do it unless I was in front of my PC. Basically, I don't want to get my emails all the time, only when I request them. Is there an option somewhere that I am missing that can do this?

This is the best solution if you are connected to your PC. If you are remote and want to turn off message delivery, the turn it off under "messages, options, email settings, send email to handheld"...then when you want it back again turn it back on.

That sounded great bb. Unfortunately the options under Messages for me on my 7130e only include General Options and Email Reconciliation, neither of which have a setting as you pointed out. Maybe a 8700 option only??

That option is not on older BB. Maybe it is new to the 8000 series or with the 4.1 os
