Problems Syncing with Outlook
I uninstalled my Office XP and installed Office 2003 this morning. I did the configure PIM and tried to sync. When I connect my BB to the cable it immediately changes to working and just sits there like that until I disconnect the cable. Nothing is happening that I can tell.
I have gone through all the settings and everything seems to be the way it should but it won't sync.
I do have a Microsoft Exchange Server could that be the problem?

I can't seem to get my BB to sync to my files that are on the MS Exchange server. So I put in a new personal folder with all of my data from the pst files.
I went into the Desktop to configure the PIM. I deleted the old folder and when I try to add the new Personal Folder, it greys out the "Add" button and I can't add the correct folder.

Any ideas.

Create a new mail profile. In configure PIM, highlight each PIM, click choose, then options, then select the new MAPI profile.

It sounds like the upgrade to O2k3 borked your MAPI profile just enough that the Desktop Manager is having problems with it.

That should fix it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Right now as soon as I attach it says "Working" even though I do not have it set to automatic sync.

Once you make the new MAPI profile, you will probably still get the working state. Keep the BlackBerry unconnected, open desktop manager, go into options and mail profile settings (i think that's it, have intenet install here at home, so i don't have that option) and select the new profile. Close Desktop Manager, and reopen it.

If that doesn't work, close desktop manager, open the mail icon in control panel, click show profiles, and at the bottom, select "use this profile when outlook opens" and choose the new profile. Then delete the following directory...
"c:\documents and settings\<username>\application data\Research In Motion"
it'll be recreated next time you start Desktop manager.
Don't forget to set the default mail profile for outlook back to the original (in the mail icon in control panel, show profiles, at the bottom, select the other profile)
