I powered down with the power button, but it's hung during the power down process. Now even the screen won't go dark, it's just stuck on the blue Cingular screen. Is there a hard power key combo I can use?

Remove the back cover and pop out the battery.

Have you tried the Icon for power off? maybe if that works it's just a bad power button. If the unit is new it should be replacable
