manually muting the ring for an incoming call after hearing it initially with other cell phones, i've frequently enjoyed the feature where once my phone rings and i look at the caller id to see who it is and decide not to take it at the time i hit a button (eg. the volume button 1 time) and the ring is muted for the rest of the incoming rings (handy when in a meeting and didn't turn it to vibrate). is there a button on the bb 6250 that allows this type of manually muting once the phone begins ringing? |
I don't think so, best option is to quickly switch profiles. :( |
Press and hold the ESC key - doesn't that do it? |
Yes, scroll the trackwheel down. Don't push it though, else it'll send them to voicemail and they will know you are trying to avoid their call. :-) |
That does it - thanks! thanks for the input. you can either press and hold the esc key, but that does instantly send the call to voicemail so the caller will know they were blown off. the better option is to turn down the trackwheel - that simply mutes the remaining rings. perfect! |
i personally choose option number one and just smile at the thought of the person's reaction to knowing that i said 'nuh uh!' :-) |
Hrmm... I couldn't get this to work while in the cradle though. I had thought that's what you meant. |
