Default Daylight savings time issues

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, the computer automatically adjusted for DST, and all the appointments in Outlook are correct. However, the calendar on the Blackberry 7290, with wireless sync, are all one hour ahead.

The clocks are both correct and set to the same timezone. I've turned off the wireless, synced up with outlook, then turned on the wireless again, but to no avail.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Yeah, I've triple checked that. It seems the blakcberry is pulling from the Network time directly and not adjusting, however.

Mine is showing the correct time, but "Network Time" is off by an hour. I'm in the Central Time zone (-6) and the BB shows noon (which is correct) while the Network Time shows 1:00PM.

mine adjusted correctly the other night. just now, i went into my Date/Time options and the local time showed the same as the network time (both 1:30). i clicked on the trackwheel and went to Request Time and the network time stayed at 1:30, but my local time switched to 2:30. this is with the correct time zone marked (EST)... i don't think the implementation of GMT is 100% accurate.

Ever since DST I have been having the same problem. My BB show a network time that is one ahead of actual time. My BB is set to Central Time and shows the correct time. It is quite annoying because my appointments are reminding me an hour late. What to do??

I hate to do a "me too! me too!," but has anyone come up with a fix for this one? Where does the network time come from? Is that from T-Mo (in my case) or RIM, or...? (Sorry, I know that's a very stupid question.)

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought there was something that came up when you are installing the BB Software that asks (Daylight Savings Time Observed)? You may want to check that on the install. If you choose NO, maybe that is where your problem lies.

"when you are installing the BB Software" - what software are you referring to? Must be DM because I didn't have to install anything on the handheld.

PhilMax,

Yes, you are correct. I was talking about the Desktop Manager software. Sorry I was not clear on that.

when you sync you should have an option that says update handelds date & time, check that box...that might get it for you. I don't start the sync auto when I connect so I click on the Intellisync button then I can check or uncheck the update handheld time & date box on the top of the Intellisync box.
