Default Can't Delete Message

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry 8700R on the Rogers service. My email comes over a BES server and we use Lotus Notes. Once and a while, a message will come in and I cannot delete it from my handheld. Even if I delete in my Notes mailbox it's still there. On the Blackberry it says its filed in a folder. Any idea how I can fix this?

Is the icon a file folder and not a message icon (envelope)? You can choose to Hide Filed messages by going into the message list, choosng optons, then General Options and change Hide Filed messages to yes

I've been able to reoslve this in the past by using Desktop Manager to selectively backup Messages, clear the Messages database on the handheld, restore the Messages and then delete the un-deleteable message. Whether or not this is worth the effort is really your judgement call. I'd probably choose to just hide filed messages unless there were a number of un-deleteable messages.

Thanks for your reply! Yes the icon is a file folder icon. I checked and the option was already set to hide filed messages. Any other ideas? This is really weird!

I took your advice and went in an cleared all the messages using the Desktop Manager. It seems fine now.

Thanks.

Hey takeshi,

Don't know if you follow your subscriptions, but just want to thank you for this post. I used it on an 8703e and it worked like a charm.

Ciao
