Default http 500 error

Please Login to Remove!

Hi! I have a 7230Prosumer from Vodafone Germany. Whenever I try to load a webpage with the blackberry-browser, it says "HTTP-Error 500" (i tried blackberrywallpapers.com and google.de with and without http://). I use OS4 and did not change any settings. What do I have to do?

Hi Luckystrik,

I have just tried both of those URLs from my 7100v on Vodafone UK. Google worked great but the first time I tried the wallpapers site I got an error. Send time it worked fine.

I would suggest contacting VF customer services as I would imagine it is a problem with them if you haven't changed any settings on the device. Have you installed any other software on the device recently?

Andi.

Hi!
yes I installed bblight, but this shouldn´t matter?
when I start with the Vodafone live starting page, and then go to google, it works.

OK.

As I understand it you are using the BlackBerry Browser to access two web sites. When you try to access the web sites by entering the URL, they don't open and you get a 500 error.

However, if first go to Vodafone Live, then enter the URLs the sites open fine.

If this is the case I really am confused and would suggest contacting Customer Services!

Are you using the Vodafone LIVE icon to view the webpages or the Blackberry Browser or My Office icon?

If you are a webclient user then all web traffic should be routed through Vodafone LIVE which is your WAP APN. However you must note that this is going through WAP which does not offer full internet capability. On a BES all internet traffic is routed via the BES Server.

What good would the WAP apn do for this issue. He is trying to browse HTML. I would make sure you have the Internet Browsing service book. Double check your options in the browser you are using to make sure that it will render HTML and not just WAP. A 500 error generally means an issue with a proxy server or mis-configured website.

Do you have an APN configured in your blackberry options?

Javed, Blackberry Browser is only available through a BES connected device.

corey i know the Blackberry browser is only available via the BES. The question here is that Luckystrik3 is accessing the internet via the WAP browser also known as Vodafone LIVE! Accessing internet via WAP does not give the full benefits as opposed to browsing through the BES.

If there is no Services [IPPP] service boiok then the the Vodafone Icon would not appear.

I suspect the problem lies at the Wap gateway and not on the device.
