Is there any way to check to see if an SMS message was successfully delivered? On my Sony-Ericsson and Nokia phones, there was an option to generate a report on the status of the SMS messages that I sent.

Sure

Under Options, select SMS. Change Delivery Reports to "on"

Then in the Messages view, where your sent SMS appears with a check against it, when it is delivered you will see a small d next to the check

What carrier is this on? I am on Verizon using a 7130 and SMS doesn't show as a choice under Options.

Verizon gives a delivery report by way of a "D" next to the checkmark on sent SMS messages, but it only works on messages sent to other Verizon users.

this workd ok within National cariers. but if you send the sms to international user, there is no garuantee that that 'd' means deleivered. ..i always fight with T-mo on this and same with cingular.
