BB rookie, but I can't find the answers to my questions in any previous posts. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyway to keep mail sent from the handheld to show up in the messages screen?

Also, I am filtering/fowarding my gmail to my BB. Was working just find for a while and all of a sudden, I am not getting any messages. I've already gotten a new BlackBerry Web Client Service Book, which helped once, but has not helped this time.

I think sent messages will always show up in the messages list...I don't know of any way to disable this.

I have gmail too, but haven't experienced any problems...it may just be a gmail glitch.

We have found a way to bypass this - Go to your email then click in the trackwheel to get to the options. Chose email filters. Create a new filter called Sent. In the From box put your email name (on our network its just my name - it may be different on your phone). In the Action field select Do Not Forward. Save it and then click on the filer and chose change option to select it.

Thanks! I think I have an older BB so it may not have the filter functionality. But I will play with it and see.

Kelvin - I have a 7290 and I don't have this functionality under message options.

You should be able to do this filter in the web client.
