Default Yahoo delays with BIS - Verizon Wireless

Please Login to Remove!

Is anyone else having problems with yahoo w/ BIS? Messages are taking 30 minutes or longer to arrive on my Verizon BB w/ BIS. Gmail messages are almost instantaneous.

I have deleted and re-created my yahoo mail account on the Verizon BIS website and re-sent my service books, but no luck.

I'm glad I found this post.

I'm having a similar situation with Yahoo on Cingular (7130c here).

Yeap, Yahoo not working correct for me either today. No messages coming through, though sending messages is working fine.

Network issue I guess, hope it clears soon.

Remove your yahoo account and re-add them. Make sure not to have any capital letters as that can cause issues.

let me know if that worked!

I have already deleted and setup my yahoo account several times, with the same result.

I can send messages but I only receive sporadic messages.

There is a system issue, no amount of removing and re-adding the account, even with all lower case, is gonna change that.

make sure message count is under 900 in yahoo inbox

open desktop mananger go to backup restore, advance.. remove the service book data base..

1. then unhook from usb cable
2. pull battery out while BB is still on.
3. Wait 5 sec
4. turn back on
5. go to options, advance, Host routing table, click on any option and hit reg now.
6. wait a few sec then go into Service Books.
7. all should be back in,
8. if not loginto BlackBerry Internet Service account and send them

Third day my yahoo mail BIS service is down..

I called Verizon wireless tech support, but they are totally clueless. I hung up when he asked if my blackberry is on and if it had a signal..

Unless this is somehow corrected, I am done with the blackberry. I am not going to spend $45.99 per month for sporadic mail service.

I have tried all suggestions posted on this topic, with NO LUCK.

Called Yahoo today (their phone number is 1-866-562-7219). Technical support has no idea what BIS is and how it works with Yahoo Mail. So they are totally useless.

I am not expecting this problem to get corrected anytime soon.

If anyone else to call Yahoo, my yahoo reference number is 4688152.

Yeah, this is getting ridiculous. I get my Yahoo e-mail's about 2x a day now. I shouldn't have to do all this random stuff, deleting, re-adding, deleting service books, plugging in the BB, etc just to get my e-mail to work on "the most reliable" e-mail device on the market. C'mon now....

BTW, 8700g with T-Mobile.
