Question Don't Want To See "Sent" Emails in List

Please Login to Remove!

Hi... for some reason, emails that are deleted on our Outlook are NOT being deleted off our Blackberries (and vice versa). We have set the option for "Email Reconciliation" to delete on both the Mailbox & Handheld, but it doesn't work for some reason.

THEREFORE, to help unclutter the list of emails, some of our users do not want to see their "sent" emails in the Message list.... Is there any way to do that?

Thanks!
Jessi

Under Messages >Options >General Options >Hide Sent Messages: Yes.

Are you on a BES? In my experience, the usual reason for the lack of reconciliation (if BES is setup correctly) is the use of personal folders on the user's pc's. I don't know if that helps or not but maybe worth looking in to.

Yes... we're on a BB Enterprise Server. When I get to work Monday, I'll check to see whether these particular users have personal folders.

If I can't figure it out, however, I'd still like to know if there is some way to disable the "sent" (with the checkmark icon) emails from appearing on the Blackberry.

THANKS for your help!

The issue with the sent items you need to make sure that the BB has at least 4.1 handheld software and the BES is 4.0.x.x or greater.

The issue for messages not being deleted from both the BB and Outlook you can toggle from delete on from mailbox and handheld to handheld and save then put it back to mailbox and handheld. If that doesn't work then you will need to clear the message database as the database might be corrupt.

Thanks for all your help. May I ask how to clear the message database if it is corrupt? I've never heard of that.

Thanks again,
Jessi
