Default MDS Security vs WiFi

Please Login to Remove!

I have felt fairly comfortable over the years accessing secured websites via my BB using either my BES or network browsers. I have felt that the liklihood of someone "listening" to my surfing and intercepting my information was fairly low. Have I been living in a false sense of security, or is it a fairly reliable way of accessing data?

With the release of the 8800 coming up soon and the promise of WiFi, is it fair to assume that using MDS is a more secure way of accessing the internet vs WiFi? Is there truly a good way of utilizing WiFi without the stress that the person drinking the latte is stealing my information?

Thanks for your thoughts;

I don't think either method is necessarily more secure than others. Your BES admin can definitely log and track where you've been on the BES browser.

You said you were visiting Secured Sites, so, I assume they are https. BES or MDS or WiFi Admin can track which site (site address) you have visited, however, none of them can decrypt the information between your device and the secured sites. Unless they have invested in very expensive decryption hardware.

Uh.... you don't need expensive decryption hardware to create an SSL proxy - its actually very easy. Not sure what you mean.
