Default Problem with Synchronization with Outlook and 8703e

Please Login to Remove!

I have a used a Blackberry 7250 for the past 2 years on a personal account (not enterprise) and have just upgraded to a Blackberry 8703e. I had my 7250 calendar and contacts synched to my Novell Groupwise software at work.

I backed up my 7250 contact information in the Desktop software ver 4.1 at work. I then connected my new BB and uploaded only my contact information from the backup file to the BB (without ever running a sync). This worked perfect.

I would like to no longer use my new BB on the work account, but just keep it at home. However, I would like to have my old contact data.

At home, I then set-up the PIM sync setting to Outlook for contact information and nothing else at this point. The software crashes everytime I try to do this sync. I know that you cannot run syncs with one device to both Outlook and Groupwise, but I thought that but uploading my contact from a backup file, this would be different. Can anyone help me work through this?

Thanks,

Steve

The first thing that I would do is re-install the latest (4.2) version of the Desktop software. If you dont have it go the blackberry.com.
I have had this solve the problem once, and I hope it works for you.
I am using an 8703e with Outlook and it works fine.
