Default AOL Problem with WebClient

Please Login to Remove!

Access to my AOL account via the BB WebClient seems to have died this morning. It was working fine as of yesterday, this morning I got an e-mail on my device telling me the WebClient could no longer connect to my AOL account. I logged in the WebClient and tried to refresh the settings for the account and I'm getting an account validation error.

My g-mail, yahoo and BES accounts are all working just fine.

Any thoughts?

Hello, first time user, long time reader . . .
I had the exact same issue this morning when I got a message saying that my Yahoo! online email account was no longer connected to the BIS.
Carrier = Sprint/Nextel.
Gmail still works fine.
Have tried reconnecting several times using the online BIS, but it tells me to "contact my email account provider".

Anyone else experiencing this?

i still have an aol address i use for personal reasons and ive always had it setup via the internet services page to receive mail on the BB. it stopped working yesterday and if i try to reactivate it on the website i get a message saying a validation error occurred and i should check my credentials....

obviously my password is correct... anyone know whats going on?

Can you still log on to the aol mail directly? you might try deleting the account in BIS and recreating it.

Edit: Just found this...sounds like it's a known issue with AOL/Blackberry right now...happened sometime last night...One would assume they're working on it....

I am having the same problem as jjd228. I tried to delete the account and recreating it. I sent a service book to it. Neither worked. I logged onto aOL from a web site and the password is correct. Any other suggestions?

Default Aol

Certainly glad to know I am not the only one. Get this though I have 2 AOL accounts one works while the other is experiencing this apparently known issue!

problem is that theres no one to contact. calling aol to explain this problem would be like trying to explain quantum physics to a 3 yr old... and its probably not a BB issue because its experienced on all networks...

For the time being you can use AOL Mobile. Point your BB browser to Mobile Applications and Phones - AOL Mobile
