Saving Pics, creating Desktop Icon I want to save pics in a different folder and placing that folder as an icon on the 7250. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Is it even possible? Thanx |
its not. |
Is the picture viewer not the most under though out feature on the 7100 and 72xx? I mean, you can display pictures but there's no way of getting pictures onto the unit other than "save from the web". (a 12 step process, at that!) Don't the App guys at RIM talk to the Desktop Manager guys? :???: Useless, IMO. |
You can email, and there are other 3rd party solutions becoming available now. Would you rather NOT have it on there at all? |
Since you brought it up, what I would rather is for the Desktop manager to allow a picture to download to the handheld. That's just me, though. I should probably be grateful that the BB can display JPG files even though most of the individuls I know with one find it so annoying to use, they dont. |
I use it all the time. It's not that hard to email yourself a picture. |
Bfrye - are you emailing pictures of yourself?? haha |
My point was that if the device has a picture viewer the device manager should be able to move a file to it. That would be good application integration. Using email or save from web is a hack (for some, a complicated one.) What you are missing as well is that unless you have an unlimited data plan on the Blackberry, emailing pictures or saving them from the web costs money. I respect the fact that's the way you do it though. |
I'm with you, it doesn't seem well thought out at all. Letting Desktop Manager transfer files would simplify things tremendously. BTW I love my Blackberry but does it seem to anyone else like if you expess any dissatisfaction with a Blackberry on these forums everyone jumps down your throat? |
Blackberry Nazis! *Hides under desk* |
