Default I'll be there

Can't wait, should be good! I arrive Monday evening and leave Thursday afternoon. Look for me by the pool in the evening with a six pack of Guiness.

Much larger exhibitors area than in year's past; more vendors, more customers, but it doesn't seem crowded. Thinprint (BT printing - due out in May) looks very promising.

Currently in Session - Mastering Your BlackBerry
Quote:
Mastering Your BlackBerry Device
Session Code: A201AL
Date & Time: 4/19/05 9:45AM-10:45AM
Andrew Bocking, Product Manager, Research In Motion
Become a BlackBerry "power user" and get the most from your BlackBerry device. Avid BlackBerry users will share tips and tricks that will help you learn shortcut keys, tweak notification profiles and manage saved messages so you can instruct your users to become more BlackBerry savvy.
This session will include a live demo.
I don't see why the basic functions are being discussed in "mastering your blackberry" Most of the things discussed in here, most newb's would know. I dont even want to know what will be discussed in the "Session Code: A100A
Date & Time: 4/19/05 9:45AM-10:45AM
Peter Mitchelmore, Regional Technical Manager, Research In Motion"
session

Here is the presentation:

But it's a good PowerPoint presentation. The problem is the damned 7100 dragged in all sorts of non power users. They clearly are in the wrong session.

Oh well. I've been to worse sessions. It was better than the keynote. But I am cathcing up with a lot of folks from RIM here.

Extending Mobile Enterprise Applications with GPS:* Locate. Navigate. Track.
Quote:
Extending Mobile Enterprise Applications with GPS:* Locate. Navigate. Track.
Session Code: V401N
Date & Time: 19/04/2005 11:00AM-12:00PM
Danny Bowman, VP Wireless Data Services, Nextel Communications
You already know the value of mobile enterprise applications. Now discover how these applications can be even more beneficial when enhanced with GPS. Adding GPS capabilities to your applications will increase productivity and bring a faster return on your BlackBerry investment. From gaining real-time visibility into where capital, and other resources are located, to getting simple, audible turn-by-turn driving directions, everything is possible right on your BlackBerry handheld. Be first, better and take a different route than the rest. Value your mission critical enterprise applications even more with GPS.
I am impressed with Nextel and their pursuit for GPS. It led several companies to come up with really clever software for the blackberry (nextel only) and is extremely impressive. Great presentation.
