Default Email sync

Please Login to Remove!

I have two model 7250s at work that I'm trying to sync with Outlook email.

We do not hace Lotus, Groupwise, Exchange Server or the Blackberry server.

They have addresses from verizon, e.g. [email address] that are used as the recipient of an alias, e.g. [email address] goes to user joedoe on the network as also to [email address].

I am getting the email in Outlook and on the Blackberry but I have not been able to sync the two. For example the users want the deleted items in Outlook to also delete on the Blackberry and visa versa.

Right now I am getting no syncing at all. The only messages on the device are those they've received since the accounts were set up.

I have tried installing the software as if we had Exchange and Blackberry server which gives me the opportunity to select email reconciliation but it didn't work.

When I went to the redirector setup to pick folders there were no checkboxes to mark so I left it a the default "Inbox Only"

Is syncing even possible with this setup? I cannot find any definition anywhere of what a Blackberry is capable of or what the true purpose of the redirector software is.

I know this is long, sorry.

TIA,

Rick

Default From What I've been told ...

You can't do it. I have a 7520 and had the same question and spent the better half of a day trying to make it work. Finally called the tech. and he was cool, but said there is no way to sync email without using a bes server. He actually had me reinstall the desktop manager to load without the redirector. Currently I have to delete manually on BB and desktop outlook (we have an exchange server). I'll be on a bes server soon though and have seen this work beautifully.
If I'm wrong and you can sync....PLEASE let me know.
