Default *problem* loading third party applications

Please Login to Remove!

i went to tucows.com and downloaded some third party applications onto a jump drive since my blackberry desktop manager is on the computer in my kitchen. i loaded all the files that came with it onto the jump drive. i hooked up my blackberry successfully and tried installing it, but when i clicked the file it said, " No additional applications designed for your device were found." I am using a blackberry 7290, but I do not know what model blackberry this is suppose to run on. This is my first time trying to install third party software, so I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb problem. I would just really appreciate some help. thank you

You also need to download and install the handheld OS for your BlackBerry.

- Download it from your carrier's web site
- Execute the file you just downloaded
- Locate and delete Vendor.xml from the PC C: drive

When you restart Desktop Manager it should now see the handheld code and work fine. Note that if the version you download is newer than the one o the BB, it will upgrade it.

Good luck.
