I have managed a Bes server for about 17 months w/ exchange 2003. Never had one issue, , , zero.



However, a few executives raised an issue with me that I was not able to answer. Maybe someone here knows.

If a user configures a rule in outlook, that says: If mail comes in for Rico Suave, to John Smith, and john smith setup up a rule that states if mail comes in from Rico, it will goto a subfolder under inbox (that John smith created) called Rico Suave. However, that mail never gets delivered to the blackberry. Custom rules/custom delivery doesnt work with the BES server for some reason.


However, user created folders under inbox, or other folders created parallel to inbox do not show up on the handheld as well.


Only normal mail, with no custom rules that go straight to "INBOX" get delivered to the blackberry.


Any ideas?

map the subfolders for redirection -- on the HH -- Messages, Options, Email Settings, Folder redirection - choose the subfolders that mail is delivered to via the rule

in our environment, everyone uses 7520's.



When I went into the settings that you mentioned, this only shows folders parallel to the inbox (that are mail folders). This doesnt show subfolders of inbox. This is where his emails are being delivered to based on his custom outlook rule: subfolders within inbox, not folders parallel to inbox.

if the folders are in his mailbox it will show up, they are probibly moving them to a personal folder.
