After questioning other users of the 7100x including o2's blackberry helpdesk, there seems to be a glitch with the bluetooth function on the 7100x. I am a new user of the blackberry and can find that I am able to pair other devices but when they go to send any data, the blackberry seems to block the connection & they are no longer able to detect the blackberry handset. This seems to be a general problem with either the OS or the bluetooth function as I have tried to disable the security and set the devices to trusted. Does anyone have any answers please?

It's not a glitch. As has been written here dozens of times, the BT implementation on the BlackBerry is for audio/wireless headsets only. It does not, under any circumstances, sync or transmit data over Bluetooth. Audio only.

Not a problem. That's the way RIM designed it. Wireless/audio only.

Stick to wireless headsets. No more problems.

Hi, when you say the bluetooth earset can receive audio, does it mean you can hear the ADPCM ringtone type of audio? Or it's just the speech when you make phone calls? Thanks.
