I just got a blackberry and I have a question regarding an icon on my display. It's right near my 'new email' indicator and it looks like a little box with a check mark in it. It also has a number next to it. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?

The most common "I don't know what this is" icon is usually a push service. Something such as BBWeather.

Not sure if that's it, but that could get you started.

I always wondered what the little recorder icon was on mine. It's been there from the first day.

That maybe a voicemail icon. It depends on what theme you're using.
