extra to: field when sending emails

When I send an email there's always an extra to: field there. Is there any setting that will keep that from showing up.

No - the extra "To:" field is there so there's always a blank for you to enter in another recipient if desired. Its displayed as you're composing the email, but won't be there in the email that is sent.
