Just got a 7230. I cleaned up my calendars, tasks-list, contacts in Outlook and synchronized PIM. I did not sych or transfer emails.

After this, I am left with about 2.2M Bytes of memory. That does not seem to be much memory left. Is there a way I can tell how or where the memory is being used?

I used to be an iPAQ user, so 2.5M feels awfully low.

I don't know of any way to know how the memory is being used. But, as a reference, when I had a 7230, that's about how much I had free. E-mails will not take up much space. I never had a problem with memory -- but I other than Texas Hold-em I never installed anything else.

I used to keep one weeks worth of e-mails on the device (avg 30-40/day).

Curious - did you upgrade to something with more memory?

Yes, I upgraded to the 7290 because an application that I wanted to use (software to provide connectivity to Salesforce.com) can use up a lot of space and I didn't want to run out.
