Level 1 Notifications confused

I am a little confused about how level 1 notifications are supposed to work. I set up an email filter to have my BB vibrate when I receive an email from a certain individual. That works perfectly. I then tried to add a second persons email address so it would vibrate when I get an email from that person. That one didn't work at all. Third, I tried to set up an email filter so my BB would vibrate whenever I receive an email that is sent to my tmobile BB email address. That one didn't work either. The only filter that is working is the original one that I established. Anyone have any ideas of where the problem is?

Thanks

Craig

Level 1 Notifications are not for email, but normally for PIN messages. Depending on your model, edit the profile you use the most, and depending on your BB model, you may be able to edit the nofication for email on each acct. registered. I don't know of any way to edit it so that if only does the notification for email from a certain person.

Unless I am missing something, I can not add incoming email to my Level 1 notifications eithers, or rather individual e-mails. I am on 8700g, the OP does not indicate what model he is using on which he created the original email filter to made his BB vibrate.

I use the filters to forward my emails as Level one - so I am not sure what dg is referring to. In my profile, I have it set so that emails do not buzz or light the LED. For Level one messages, I have them buzz and light the LED. In my filter, I have emails from my boss and those marked high importance forwarded as level one. It sounds like the OP is on BIS and since I am on BES, I don't think we set up filters the same way.

How exactly are you setting up these filters? Are they all for the same account (except the TMO one)?

I think that I have figured a few things out. First of I have a 8700g and am on a BES via my work. One filter that I have is one that lets me know when my boss sends me an email. I have it set as a Level 1 so that my phone will vibrate when my BB is in the holster. My boss always sends me emails to my work (groupwise) email address. This filter works with no problems. I then tried to set up a filter so my phone would vibrate when my wife sends me an email. Again, I set up a filter that would forward any emails from her email address as a Level 1. My phone would not vibrate when she sent me emails. I then realized that my wife was sending emails to either my gmail or my tmobile accounts. She was not sending emails to my work (groupwise) account. I then had her send me an email to my groupwise email address and it did vibrate. So it seems that I can only set filters that will effect my work email not other email accounts. I assume that is because I am on a BES. If anyone knows different, please let me know.

Yes that is the same for me, my filters only work on my BES email. I have just tried what you have just explained and have come to the same conclusion.

That's was good to know. I never used level 1 pins. Never knew what that setting was for.
