I have to even change the mail servers configuratios on EVERY one of my email accounts on outlook so it can work normally???

I really don't see much future on this as I would have change proxy configs every time I connect outside mywork and then when I'm back at the office I will have to change everything again, and so on???? TOO COMPLICATED!

So, is there any way, now that i have BES activated that I can tether without the shark modem?? I've read here about creting a connection and some configs on there. Would that work? I have a pearl by the way

Not sure about your carrier, but with Verizon, I pay $15.00 to tether on top of whatever data package. For $.50/day, I don't have to worry about proxy configs. I just load Verizon Connect and click on connect. Magic!

I just signed up for hosted BES with Canadian Web Hosting Shared and Dedicated Linux Windows Exchange and Blackberry Services Canada. I pay a little over $20 and that includes 500MB of storage. It seems like a small outfit. Good support so far.

I love BES and wouldn't go back to BIS. It's worth every penny for wireless sync.

Default a couple of questions on BES/desktop sync

Considering making the jump to a 8830we from Treo 700w:

I do have a couple of questions:

Can I use BES with an exchange account and also sync with a personal computer using Blackberry desktop software and limit what I sync on the separate computer?

With windows mobile 5.0 you are limited to syncing the main contact database. It appears from some of the documentation I have read that both BES and Blackberry desktop sync can sync subfolders. Is this correct? Will certainly make my life simpler if this is the case.

I have been using Sherweb for exchange hosting. Will continue to do so.
