spelling names while calling a directory What do you do when you call a business that asks you to spell the last name of the person you want to be connected to. I have found that you can't use the regular keyboard with the letters to spell but that you are supposed to remember that the number 2 is for a, b, and c and that 3 is for d,e,and f. etc. Am I missing something, Is there an easier way than having to remember? |
Hold the Alt key and spell it out with the keyboard |
If you have a SureType model, you will be in Multitap mode, not SureType while entering the letters. |
I think the original poster's quesiton is how is one to remember what letter corresponds to what number (as they are not shown on the BB like they are on a regular phone)? |
You don't have to remember. Since it's not a typical phone pad, by holding alt down, enter the letters on your keyboard that you want to enter. That will make it act like are dialing on a normal key pad. |
