Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

No I have bought both locked and unlocked phones. It is as simple as purchasing an unlock code. For my Motorolla MPX it was about 12 dollars. Looks legit. Have you emailed seller with specific questions?

thanks brucejr, and no i havent... i just wanted to know whether i had to bring it somewhere cuz they have to do something to the hardware or if it was just a softare thing

and for everyone else thats looked at this thread.... AWESOME help... for so many users on this site you think others would be more helpful... jez i'm on a car site and there are about 400 members and they are more helpful then this site... yes its a diff kind of site but the point is for the amount of people on this site you would think there would be way more help offered versus a site with 400 members...

you should see brighthand, TONS of members, very little responce to most threads unless it's a hot topic at the time (i.e. the new PDA/Phone/whatever just released)

All you do is enter service mode and enter your unlock code, it then unlocks the signal ID (not sure if that's the right term) so no, there is no hardware needed except a USB cable for the specific phone. Also, if you want to unlock your BB, there are dozens of services around to do so, some more legit and apearing more 'real' than others (I see adverts on this site for one service that says it can do it for $20 I think...)

I have not used that service, but his/her Ebay rating is 99.9% positive, only two negs out of 2900 past twelve months. That appears trustworthy to me. And the unlocking process should be a software process you can perform without needing to physically have possession of the phone in the hands of the unlock service.

Cory, as far your other comment on the helpful attitude of the members of this site, I feel you are incorrect in your assessment. I've observed very very few questions on this site go answered, and I personally have gotten wonderful help from very knowledgeable and helpful forum members. Your comment about being more helpful was only after waiting 24 hours from your original post, primarily a Saturday/Sunday period.
