Default call failed

I have one contact in my address book that my phone will not call. As soon as I click call I get the call failed message. I have tried manual dailing, deleting and putting back, and this one number always fails. Now when this person calls me they show up on my screen as them calling so I know I have the right number in there..any ideas?

yes, you must precede any number you are calling with the correct country code. You can remove the 1+. Look under the phone OPTIONS, and DIALING, on my 8700 it is listed on the menu as SMART DIALING, not know the BB model you have on hand.

For me the number is entered into my phone book like all the others...everyone else works...just this one number that won't go...could it be related to hte area code? I'm at a total loss on what to do

try elimination on this... can you dial it EXACTLY the same way from a landline phone, as your BB is dialing, same numbers, etc.?

Next is this a corporate business # you are calling? Your friend calls and that number may show as his calling #, but to call it back could be restricted. ??

I don't know the solution.

Good luck, though, there must be some simple answer.
