Default Backups

Please Login to Remove!

What do people typically do for backups? I noticed there is a lot finer control over what gets backed up when you do it manually than you do for automatic backup.

Is it necessary to back up everything?

How often do you do backups?

Does it take a long time once there is a lot of data on the device?

I "try" to do a back up through desktop every week, which is actually more like every couple of weeks. I back up everything each time, since it is simpler that way. It does not take much time, I just did a complete back up and timed it (30MB free on my BB 8700g) and it took just over one minute.

I don't really bother. My critical data syncs with Exchange. Everything else -- aside from bookmarks -- can be reinstalled.

I do a full backup about once a week. I also keeping everyting sync'd with Outlook, but I want more than one safeguard in place in case something crashes.
