Question NextHaus Sync client and Oracle Calendar - Error: 506?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi.
Please excuse me, if this is a newb question...

I am trying to get Oracle calendar working with a Blackberry 8700c, using the Nexthaus SyncJe client.
I have the correct sync server name, username/pw, but I am getting an error-
'Error: 506 Transport layer failed while sending message to server: could not open tunnel failed. Session complete."

Is this a Java error, or am I doing something wrong? The sync server here works well with Windows Mobile 5, and the Synthesis SyncML client, but I have some BB users who would like to use it also.

Any help is appreciated! This has me very perplexed.

You'll want to put in the APN for your provider's WAP gateway (for instance "wap.voicestream.com" if T-Mobile USA). This is under Options -> Advanced -> TCP; if you're not on T-Mobile, there's a post around the forums here that lists the right thing to put in for each provider.

Also, you may or may not need to do this depending on your SSL needs; go into Options -> Security -> TLS, set the TLS Default to "handheld" instead of Proxy. Try SyncJe without this first, then if it's not working give this setting a go.

I use SyncJe with Mobical, it works flawlessly. Good piece of software.

Yep, that was it. I was posting the fix when I saw your post. I was configuring Opera Mini, and the calendar started working!

Thanks!
