What the heck is Cricket?

I do not think so. You would still have to have a Blackberry Plan for any data, if you got that you might as well use the Blackberry services instead of Cricket, what ever it is.

cricket is a new wireless provider. i have seen their stores popping up all around where i live. there big selling point is that all their plans give you at least unlimited local minutes. they do not have too many phones.

To greggebhardt's point, you could activate your Berry for voice only service on Cricket, but you would recive no data features without a Blackberry data plan. Not sure if Cricket offers those.

Is Cricket GSM? If so, it's just a matter of putting a Cricket SIM in an unlocked Blackberry.

from what i remember when i had them they were cdma.

mycricket.com is their website.

i had them 3 years ago in arizona , but ive since moved.

the service was so-so but for unlimited you cant complain.

and you really cant travel with it, so its kinda worthless.

Cricket has been around the Lincoln Nebraska area for some time.
I would doubt that they would activate a Blackberry because it would come from another carrier.
Their customer service is very poor, and all around not a great carrier.
If you never leave town, they might be ok.

Unhappy No Roaming

So it is like a local carrier with no roaming.
