As a warning, don't assume that personal data on a company BES-connected Blackberry is private -- regardless of whether your mail or data arrived to the BB via BES/MDS or not.

Check blackberryfaq.com to read up on your email delivery options. I'd recommend actually just integrating your gmail account with Alltel's BIS. You can forward but most people are getting gmail pushed nearly instantly without using forwarding to their *.blackberry.net addresses. All
messages arrive in Messages. With BIS 2.0+ integrated email accounts get their own icon/view but BES mail always arrives in Messages along with everything else. There's currently no way to change this. Your best bet is to set your BES filters to forward with Level 1 notification unless you're already using Level 1 notification for other priority email.
