Hi,

I am doing research...
Are you an Australia BlackBerry user?

(1) What model do you have?

(2) Have you upgraded to BlackBerryOS version 4?

(3) Do you have a full HTML browser, or only a WAP browser?

(4) When you configure Options->TCP->APN to "telstra.internet", can you run software such as VeriChat? (VeriChat is instant messaging software. You can download and install wirelessly by entering http://www.verichat.com/ota/VeriChat.jad in the BlackBerry browser...)

Hay Mark,
2nd day with my BB7730.
Within 5 hours I already called the Optus HelpDesk about the latest version 4 as well as the new DeskTop version.
They were very obliging in talking me through all the process etc. Down in 15 minutes.
As for Q3 - how do I know?

1) 7100g (have used in most recent order 7730, 7230, 5820)

2) Yes, 7100g came preloaded with V4.0

3) Have both MDS browser (HTML) and WAP Browser

4) Downloading Verichat now to test.

Just a quick note though Mark, the telstra.internet APN will only work with Telstra subscribers. Optus and Vodafone will use different settings.

Is Verichat available free or is it trial only?

It's a 2 week trial.

I need to know if it works. Thanks!
(1) Are you on BlackBerry enterprise server? (I prefer to hear from non-BES users)
(2) Does VeriChat successfully wirelessly download? (Or do you have to install via BlackBerry Desktop?)
(3) Does VeriChat successfully work?
