Default Password requirments ????

Please Login to Remove!

Hey All new to the site. Well to start out I have a 7290 from my work. I got switched to a new bes server and after activating it and went to long in to the phone it wanted me to change it. The password requirement was just stupid. 8 letters long with caps, numbers and a special characters, then it will requiers you to long in to after a hour of no activity, it is hualstered. Its a real pian in the azz. Is there any thing on the phone side to change this? They have grayed out most of the options in the security settings. I hoping there is some kind of hack out there that I resolve this issue.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums,
Your BB is controlled by your corporate IT policy. There is no way around the policies your IT department have set. Sorry....

You won't find much sympathy on this board for people looking to bypass security. The security is the BB is one of the main selling points.
I will agree that security policies can be a pain, but after using the device for a while, given all of the good things it offers, you will come around. ENjoy,

If your company is not publically traded you might be able to talk to your admin about your concerns. Those policies are in place un large part for Sarbanes oxley compliance and, if corporate, your admin can do nothing about it.
