Default Functions w/o data service

Please Login to Remove!

Quick question...

I currently have a regular (non-PDA) Nextel phone. If I were to purchase a used Nextel Blackberry and replace the SIM with my current active SIM what functions could I use on the Blackberry w/o changing Nextel service plans?

I realize that I won't be able to use the web, or send/receive email.

I'm mainly concerned about syncing Outlook contacts and calender between my notebook and blackberry via data cable. Would this work?

Thanks,
Charlie

i have heard with nextel when you put an active sim in one of there bb's(and you make a call) they will automatically put the data on your account and it will be the cheapest one they hAVE, not the unlimited one .

i may be wrong but that is what a few people have told me

You're correct, by default PIM sync is available out of the box.
