| As far as I know, you aren't doing anything wrong. It's just that email reconciliation is basically "one-way".
It is a way to get changes made to you inbox from the BB to also be made in your regular inbox.
I could be wrong. There are different ways that some email programs delete messages. Some programs (most, I think) mark a message as delete, but that doesn't actually delete it. It just sets a flag on the message that tells the email program not to display it to you. (It also makes a copy of the message in the "Deleted Items" folder, or whatever folder is designated as the "Trash" folder.) Usually, when you quit the email program, it goes through and actually removes emails marked "deleted". I think the reason is to make the email program appear to operate fast.
See what happens if you:
1) Delete a message from your outlook inbox
2) Find a way in outlook (I'm not an outlook user) to "Compact Folder". This should synchronize the mailbox with the list in outlook.
3) In the BB, "Reconcile Now"
(I'm a network administrator and manage several email servers, but I don't use a lot of different email client programs, so I am not too familiar with the operations of Outlook or Outlook Express.) |
