Thumbs down 8700c without BES using Groupwise

Please Login to Remove!

Trying to assist my wife in setting up her 8700 to use at work. Her IT dept. is not BB savy, and not much help. They don't have (nor are likely to get) a BES. Can someone please confirm her options in terms of having her GW email forwarded or otherwise sent to her BB. Of concern are the ability to respond from the BB with her work signature, and having a copy of the response sent to her GW account for tracking purposes.

Thanks !

Default

Desktop Redirector doesn't support groupwise therefore assuming no BES only option is to setup BIS and integrate work email via pop3 / IMAP or forward mail from the mail server to external account.

With BIS you can set the reply-too address to [email address] so that if she sends an email from the BB then it looks like it has come from hercompany.com, rather than from her BB account e.g. [email address]

The only way for her to get copies of her response back to the main mailbox is for her to BCC herself in. - which off coure then loops back around to her BIS account, unless she bcc's a 3rd account.

basically non BES it's pretty lame cf. BES
