My blackberry died when I dropped it in the toilet. But I always back up my contacts and such on the computer. For the time being I have a replacement phone but it's not a blackberry. How can I get access and see the data from when I last backed it up on my computer?

You can't. You'll need to restore the data onto a BB in order to get it back.

This is why it is handy to perform a backup and also sync with Outlook.

Dropping your BB in a toilet doesn't necessarily kill your blackberry. It's how you recover it afterwards that will either kill it or make it operable.

I have personal knowledge, and mine is still working well to this day.
