Default Regular Touch Tone Keypad?

Is there any program I can install that will display a virtual keypad on my screen? Because I have a QWERTY keypad, whenever I have a phone number with letters in it (e.g. 1-800-CINGULAR) I have no idea what numbers to dial and have to guess which letters are on which number on a normal phone keypad.

You already have that program on your BB... it's called the ALT key. Hold downt the ALT key while pressing the letters.

And don't test this by dialing 1-800-CINGULAR, that is a not a good example as the number does not exist.

You can test it with 1800FLOWERS, that works.

A quick search of this forum would give you lots of tips and tricks, and the answer to that question.

the great thing about the BB is that you can just dial the letters in the phone dialer screen and the BB will properly emit the tone to equate to the appropriate number!!!

so just type in 1-800-Cingular and it will dial the number

You must hold down the ALT key, however. Dialing a letter withOUT the ALT key despressed, on the phone dialer screen will not emit the tone required.

Awesome - thanks! I just tapped the ALT key until the curser said ABC instead of showing the phone icon... and I could then type in the alpha characters normally.

Bby is better than I thought it was!!!!

Make that 1-800-CINGULA. A "normal" phone will ignore the extra letter/key but the BB apparently doesn't...
