Default Sync PST to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Outlook 2003 and BBY 8700.
I understand in order to view emails from a Personal Folder, I need to set it up inside the Desktop Manager and do a wired-sync which I did but I do not see any emails inside the BBY.

Is anyone able to help?

The BlackBerry does NOT sync email, just address, calendar, notes and tasks.

It does sync PST emails. It works on another user/device. I just need to know what the requirements are.

No (current) Blackberry syncs email. Email is pushed to the device and with BES you have full reconciliation. Push and reconciliation are not the same as sync. I know that this sounds like nitpicking but there are signiifcant differences in the terminology. Please read up at blackberryfaq.com or your favorite Blackberry FAQ.

I understand how this works.

Sync PST over to BBY requires the Desktop Manager and it has to be connected, wired and a manual sync for all emails to be push into the device. I understand this is not a over-the-air, wireless thingy... thus I mentioned Desktop Manager and wired in my 1st post.

Two experienced forum members have given you correct information already. But, for the 3rd time-- Emails will NOT sync via the USB cable with Desktop Manager. Calendar, Contacts, Notes and Tasks.

Emails will go to the device,
A. Blackberry Enterprise Server
B. Blackberry Internet Service
C. Desktop Redirector

All require a data plan (OTA.) No data plan, No email on the device.

Even if you get a data plan and start getting email to your device using one of the above methods you can't get old emails to sync to the device. Only the emails that arrive after account setup will show up on the device.
