incoming phone not answering Hi again, I yet another question I hope is easily answered. I have a 7250 on the Bell network in Ontario. I have the phone working but no data plan. I can call out without an issue. The problem starts after a period of inactivity, the phone will not pickup an incoming call. It seems like a power saver or something. I have tested turning off the wireless and turning it on and unless I make an outgoing call the phone will not answer incoming calls. The caller gets " the customer you have dialed...." But after I make an out going call it seems I wake something up and it will receive calls again but only for a short period and it goes back into power saver. Very frustrating. Brent |
Have you tried using some other sim card on your BB? Does the problem remain same? |
The 7250 does not use a sim card that I'm aware of. I purposely left it out of the holster last night before bed but plugged into the computer to charge. I made sure I could call out and the phone was receiving calls however this morning when I tried to call the BB all I got was a was Bell's greeting that "the customer..." Must be a sleep setting on the wireless or similar. |
According to Bell my phone will continue to do this until I get on a data plan...? What is happening is the Wireless is basically saying that I'm going to report myself as unavailable after a few hours of non usage. However once I add a 50 dollars a month data plan the wireless will remain on all the time... umm ya. Anyone hear anything like this before? |
