I have a user that on the home screen it shows a small battery icon with a question mark in front of it and when you go to Options, then Status it says UNKNOWN beside Battery? I have had them take the battery out, but nothing changed. The BlackBerry is a 7290, v.3.8

I have got this problem too on my 7730. Everything is working ok apart from the fact that the battery level isn't recognized. It appears that I can't charge it either. I've tried another battery in there but it was exactly the same. Any ideas on what is happening here would be much appreciated.

Have you got the latest OS in it. If you have recently installed the OS or upgraded it may have become corrupted or your download may have been corrupted, I would re-download a fresh copy, back up, do a wipe, reinstall the OS and then do a restore.

I am having the same problem with my 7100

did resintalling OS fix your problem ??
