Default New To BB - shortcuts help please

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my new vzw 8703e. I love it but I need some help with the shortcuts. Is there a shortcut to lock the phone so I don't have to keep going to the lock icon? I guess I could use one of the two programable keys but I don't want to. I have read all the tips and tricks on the BB website, are there any more convient ones, or is there a website that lists all of the shortcuts? Can I program my own shortcuts? Also, is there a way to set multiple alarms without using the calander function? Thanks so much for the help.

If you turn off Dial from home screen (Phone app - Options - General Options - Set Dial from Home Screen to No) you can use all of the shortcuts for the applications at the Home Screen. Messages = M , Calendar = L , Lock = K and so on... Note each app that has a shortcut key from the Home Screen has an underline under the shortcut key.

By the by, turning off Dial From Home Screen only disables you from starting to dial a number from the Home Screen. You will have to enter the phone app and then start dialing after turning this option off.

Alt + enter on the 8703 brings up the option to change the input language to something other than English.

Oops. I figured it would be the same as my 7250. Sorry for the confusion.
